Alchemy

Put it all on the altar,

family, home, shelter,

the brokenness

the misplaced dreams

The deep desires and wishes

from ages and ancestors passed,

roots to the depths of the world

In the darkness of the earth

that surrounds us, the ground

is still fertile, the light and

fire are still alive

Alchemy is afoot

Deep change and re-birth

from long ages past

Remembrance is on the tongues

and the healing comes,

at last
